A Journey to Realisation

The previous week I went to England for my graduation ceremony. It was a journey with a lot of lessons to learn and many memories to remember.
In this path of awakening, we learn to see ourselves with a different perspective and we come to realise that the world around us is the best teacher we have in order to grow and expand spiritually.

During my stay, I was faced with a lot of disappointments, delays and a 'bad luck'. I had a few good moments as well as I had the opportunity to shop the things I planned, to meet new people and to help people in need. I observed my body and soul while walking the streets of London and I became aware of improvements I have to make in my daily routine in order to be healthy and wobble free, such as more exercise and time away from any distractions like laptops and mobile phones.

We all need a change once in a while to keep our balance in life. Four years away from home weren't enough for me to get to know myself. I needed a break for a few months in my home country, Cyprus and then a come back to the place where I studied (even for a few days). My mind was clear and focused this time and I knew exactly what I wanted. So the universe aligned me with situations and people in order to strengthened me and give me lessons. Was ready for a change. If we are open and receptive to the universe, only then we experience change and we see situations as opportunities for expanding.

Many people say that you make the best friendships in places you've never thought you could. This is so true! I met people on the plane, the underground sitting next to me, people in waiting lines and even the toilets! I was walking non stop for 8-10 hours everyday having no time to eat. I pushed myself to the limits and at the same time I was enjoying it because I had the chance to do something different, something to feed my soul. I had the chance to observe my attitude towards people around me and I found myself making mistakes without realising it.What I did for this was to I take notes of what I don't like in me in order to change it and become a better person.

**Friendly reminder: If you don't like something in you or in another person's attitude remember that only YOU are responsible about it even if you think you aren't. There are mirrors all around you! Observe and act accordingly. Maybe you don't realise it but your subconscious mind holds hundreds of thousands of memories from your early age and it continues to do it until you leave this body. In order to change your way of thinking and in general to obtain a new lifestyle, you will have to star doing different things in your daily routine. Albert Einstein said: ''you can't do the same thing over and over again and expect different results.''

For a start, try to follow the steps below and take notes to track your progress:

Be Impeccable With Your Word

Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using words to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your words in the direction of truth and love.

Don’t Take Anything Personally

Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.Just observe and if you find something in them you don't like, try to thing if you do it too without realising it.
Don’t Make Assumptions
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. Also don't be afraid to express your opinion if you see something that is unfair -for example a person who treats his child wrong or harms mother nature. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life and help others to follow your example.
Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse and regret.” - Miguel Ruiz
The 10 areas that you will be working on are:
  1. Clearing Unresolved Matters
  2. Restoring Your Integrity
  3. Getting All of Your Needs Met
  4. Extending Your Boundaries
  5. Raising Your Personal Standards
  6. Eliminating What You Are Tolerating
  7. Coming from Positives
  8. Resolving Key Family Relationships
  9. Developing A Supportive Community
  10. Re-orienting Around Your Core Values
